Carrie has recorded one album of beautifully arranged jazz and pop favourites and in 2012 she released a debut original EP: BOLD, which was very well-received. Carrie wrote and produced BOLD and the recording highlights Carrie’s talents as both a powerhouse vocalist and a sensitive, soulful songwriter. ABC Radio presenter James Valentine said “... live warmth and joy is hard to catch in recordings but here it is in these tracks. Gorgeous sound and Carrie’s unique presence is captured for all to hear”. International jazz singer Joy Yates also praised BOLD as “an EP that gives you a broad view of an artist who is honest, soulful and mature... Carrie’s warm compelling sound leaves you wanting more”.
In recent years, Carrie has been focused on her original project- Mayfield St.- an acoustic roots band led by Carrie with her longtime musical collaborator, Charlie Meadows. The songs of Mayfield St. are diverse in style yet bound together by a rich, soulful acoustic energy that captivates listeners. Delicate folky tales of heartbreak, rollicking rides of outlaw country fun, sassy blues tunes, bright reggae grooves and uplifting contemporary anthems all reside in the Mayfield St. sound. The band is currently performing whilst also preparing to make their debut recording. Carrie is excited to share Mayfield St.’s lovingly crafted collection of songs with the world.
Carrie is thrilled to be participating in AIR’s 2022/2023 Women in Music Mentorship, where she is receiving guidance from an experienced mentor and engaging in professional development with a broad range of Australian music industry leaders.
